We will be talking about some goals for this year. Chat with your child about some academic goals, and some at home goals that they may have for this year! Pizza Multiplication We have been working very hard at learning many different strategies for solving multiplication and division problems. We took our test before break, and students have been practicing these strategies. Now, we move to the next step at memorizing their multiplication 1-10 facts. They do not need to know 11’s and 12’s.  To help motivate students to learn their facts, we will be working hard on learning them, and then celebrating what facts they mastered with a pizza party at the end of January. The Nutcracker has always been one of the traditions that the 3rd graders perform. In a normal year, they would learn all the Nutcracker songs in music class, the dances would be taught during PE class, and the speaking parts were assigned by the music teacher and sent home to practice. Mrs. Peek and I would provide help with decorating the stage, and some practice times during class.
