Ettinger - Holiday Party Sign-Up

Our class will be having our Holiday Party on Friday afternoon, December 18th.  We will be doing stations: a craft, a game, and an eating station. I will need help gathering treats and supplies.  If you are able to help, I have created a Sign-Up Genus to sign up for things that you could send in for the party.  Thank you SO much!   Holiday Party Sign-Up


Chromebook Devices

As of right now, it is expected that your student brings their laptop to and from school EVERY DAY so that we can use the laptops at school but also have them at home in case we need to go virtual.  Make sure that you charge your device at home every night.  Do not send chargers to school.  Please take the time to go over the digital handbook here with your child.


Multiplication and Division-Update (12/7)

*We just introduced students to our Everyday Math Games last week. These can be found on the symbaloo. They can click on the red Connect Ed button, and it will take them to the sign in page. Their sign in username is their school number with the addition of SJPS at the end of it. (Ex:12345SJPS)Their password is their normal password. There are some great math games on here for students. 

In math we have started working on learning strategies to solve multiplication and division problems. If you haven’t already,  please watch this short video which helps explain the strategies we are using, as well as some games you can play at home:  3rd Grade Multiplication and Division.

 

Things We’re Working on this Week:

Reading: Continuing Sequence of Events/Text Importance 

Writing: Informational Writing - Finishing The Christmas Tree Ship Research, and Beginning Sequence of events with The Nutcracker.

Grammar:  Verbs/Verb Tenses

Math:  Multiplication/Division Strategies

Science:  Animals Through Time
