Valentine’s Day
Please take a look at the Lincoln Blog this week from Mr. Hubble about Valentine’s Day. We will be sending out more details of what we will be doing to celebrate the event as a class.
Parent Teacher Conferences
It seems like we just finished conferences not too long ago, but our Spring Conference window is from January 28th to February 26th. I will be sending a sheet home with your child this week. Some of the sheets sent home will say that I am requesting a conference with you, and some may ask if you would like to conference. Our staff is required to meet with about ⅓ of our families for Spring conferences. However, if you would like to meet with me, that would be great. All conferences will be virtual, as they were in the Fall.
Pizza Multiplication
*Update* Students have been working hard this week as we got started with our Multiplication Pizza. Keep practicing at home!
We have been working very hard at learning many different strategies for solving multiplication and division problems. We took our test before break, and students have been practicing these strategies. Now, we are moving to the next step of memorizing their multiplication 1-10 facts. This week we will be starting a fun incentive to learn our multiplication facts. Students will be working to earn a pizza party. For each multiplication level they pass, students will add another piece to make a whole pizza. Our pizza party will be on January 28th. Please have your child continue working on their facts at home. Learning their multiplication facts will be key to their success in math.
