Parent Teacher Conferences
Most of you have signed up for a time for conferences, but if you haven't yet, please do! The link to our meeting is in the document. I will send a reminder the night before our conference with the link as well. See you then!
Halloween
All kids are welcome to wear costumes all day. Parents should use good judgement on costumes, maybe leaving the bulkier pieces of costumes at home. A reminder that masks for health safety will still need to be worn and no weapons or look alike weapons should come to school.
We intend to take a picture of each child in costume and put them together in a video that will take place of the traditional parade. We will provide a link so families can watch this at home.
Our class will be having a celebration on Friday, October 30th. I have created a Sign-Up Genus to sign up for things that you could bring in to help our class party. Even though we can't have parent volunteers in the building, we are still excited to celebrate as best we can!
Materials Needed
HeadPhones
We still haven’t received our one-on-one computers. However, we are able to have a few in our classrooms where students can get onto Lexia and Epic. If your child doesn’t have headphones, please see if you can send some in. If anyone could grab a few extras for our classroom as well, that would be awesome!
Clorox Wipes
We are trying to wipe down our tables/desks a lot this year. If you happen to be at the store and can grab an extra can here and there throughout this year, that would be appreciated.
Hand Sanitizer Pumps
We also have these at our table areas, and I am sure we will run short as the year goes on.
Epic
I understand several people are having trouble connecting to Epic from home in the evenings. According to the Epic site, kids are able to connect for free after school for up to 2 hours per week. They only ask that a parent sign up with their email address, no credit card needed. Here is the information from Epic.
Technology Support Site for Students and Parents
Our media team has created a resource site for students and families to help them navigate district technology.
