Water Bottles & Snacks
Many students seem to be forgetting to bring their own water bottles in to school lately. Remember that we can only use the drinking fountains to fill up our water bottles, not to take a drink from. When students forget a water bottle, we give them a cup, but it seems like we are giving out a lot of cups lately. Thanks for your help with this.
Also, we are out of snacks! I provide snacks for students who forget theirs at home. Can you remind your child that it is their responsibility to remember this when they pack their bag. If you would like to donate snacks to the class, that would be great too. I have emailed our PTO for some help with this as well. Thank you!
Keep Practicing Multiplication Facts
We will continue to work on our math facts daily in the classroom. We are very proud of the progress that students have made so far this year. We will be doing another incentive for learning multiplication and division facts next trimester. Keep up the good work at home!
Valentine's Day at Lincoln School
February 14 is quickly approaching and of course, things this year will be a little different. It just so happens that the 14th is on a Sunday this year and students do not have school on Friday the 12th or on Monday the 15th. So, hold off on the candy and packaged Valentines, here is the plan...
During the week of February 8 - 11, our Positivity Project (P2) activities will be focused on "Love." Love means that you value close relationships with others and being close to people. The character strength of love represents the way we think, feel, and behave towards the people with whom we have close relationships.
Classes will have activities and lessons in their morning meetings that will take the place of the traditional card exchange and parties. No need to send anything in from home, we will handle it all in-house.
If you want to look ahead at family activities and connections for that week, remember you can access the P2 for Families at https://posproject.org/p2-for-families/ The password is P2.
